Fatal car accident on Highway 18

Mississippi winters can bring brutal weather. Snow and ice can make the roads a dangerous place to travel. Drivers must take additional care to ensure that they arrive at their destination safely. When proper attention is not placed on the road, both passengers and drivers may be at risk for injury or even death.

One Mississippi resident has lost his life in a deadly car accident. The car accident occurred just after 7:00 a.m. The driver of a Kia was traveling eastbound on Highway 18. While crossing the bridge, the driver lost control of his car. The Kia ran over a patch of ice where he then crossed into a westbound lane. A Blue Bell Ice Cream truck collided with the Kia. Though the driver of the ice cream truck was not injured, unfortunately the driver of the Kia did not fare as well. The Kia driver was killed in the two-car crash.

Car accident victims can face an uphill battle after a car accident. Victims can suffer from serious, life altering injuries. Even when the individual that is liable for the car accident has insurance that will cover the cost of injuries, the battle for payment could become an uphill battle. Without the aid of an attorney the journey to financial recovery can be nearly impossible.

Experienced legal counsel can help car accident victims and their families to navigate the legal system. No victim should sign a settlement agreement without first seeking legal counsel. The right settlement will give the victim the ability to care for themselves for the duration of the injuries.
